Originally from the Greater Toronto Area, Sandra graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology, Human Kinetics.
Long fascinated with the anatomy and physiology of the human body along with the biomechanics of human movement, her interest in pursuing studies in sports medicine was diverted to a career in respiratory therapy.
After working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at hospitals in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, Sandra took advantage of using her qualifications to travel which brought her to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where she met her husband.
Sandra and her family lived in Asia for 14 years.
While living in Singapore, Sandra studied and trained in Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Sword Tai Chi and Tan Tui and has taught in Tokyo, Calgary, Portland, and Nelson, Balfour and Procter in British Columbia’s Kootenai Region.
Sandra launched her practice, Qi Tai Chi in 2009 and moved to Nelson in 2010.

The passion for Sandra’s practice is grounded in the enjoyment of sharing with her students how it improves health in all aspects of life.

“I like the fact that Sandra keeps the class small and that she was able to coach us individually when needed.”

“Sandra’s classes were precise and well planned,  but also allowed some reflection and as others had many of my questions too, I knew it was the right speed, with learning time and discussion time"
