One Step At a Time

I’ve just returned from Colorado after a most amazing visit with friends.

Even more amazing? Spending so much time literally on top of the world, hiking trail after trail that began just under 10,000 feet and climbing to well over 12,000 (3,800 m).

The altitude was no small challenge. At that height, the air pressure is lower, and every breath carries less oxygen to the blood.

I had to set my own pace. My own rhythm in my breathing.

With each step, I carried my Mom’s true spirit close at heart.

In the ultimate example of courage and patience she rebuilt her life literally step by step after a serious accident. (To read her story in last month's email CLICK HERE.)

One…step…at…a…time.

The wisdom in this – that one small step at a time can take you to places you never imagined. Even to the top of a mountain.

That every journey starts with a small step.

Because maybe lately you’ve been feeling at a loss – like you’re barely holding it together.

Maybe inspiration and motivation seem to slip away, even when you know you want to wake up with more energy instead of dragging yourself out of bed or to be able to focus without your mind fogging over by mid-afternoon.

Sometimes the most powerful step is the simplest one. This one only takes a few seconds:

Place your feet flat on the floor.
Feel the ground beneath them.
Repeat.

That’s it.

One step at a time, you can begin to reclaim clarity, strength, and energy into your everyday life.

It’s simple. Not always easy. But you’re not alone in forgetting – and you’re not alone in remembering, either.

The ground is always there, supporting you, holding you up.

Stay tuned…next, I’ll share another simple step you can weave into your day.
